Assignment #1

This photo is a mystery to me, I would love to know exactly how it was done. I really like how the skater is seperated so crisply from the background. The image seems almost surreal. Also it is a hefty trick which of course make a skateboarding photo that much better. Im not usually a fan of square crops but this one definitely works.

  1. I guess good sports photographs require understanding photography plus understanding the sport. Croker probably spent hours and hours shooting him until he knew what to expect - but I agree, technically it is a great shot and I also enjoy the detail of the surrounding space rather than have the skateboarder surrounded by just the concrete of the park.
